One of functions of green plantings of settlements is creation and providing favorable environment of the population. For city settlements the question of protection of green plantings is considered from two aspects:

• protection of plantings from the general anthropogenous influence;
• protection of plantings at town-planning activity.

Process of improvement includes, first of all, design of system of improvement, implementation of the improvement project, the contents and technical operation, repair and reconstruction of system of improvement of object and its elements.
